Saw this last night along with Princeton and Maps & Atlases. It was so awesome.
My two buddies from work joined me so did Hec and Justin. Overall it was very fun but my feet hurt a lot right now...
Love the glasses.

Lead singer was originally from houston but formed a band in Austin. I bought 2 of their CDs for $6 online and they're pretty good.
For the past hour or so I've been looking for cheap things Mark and I could do this weekend. So far I've found a farmer's market and flea market that look good out on Richmond and Westheimer, respectively. While looking for events, I stumbled upon this local band who will be having their CD release this saturday at the Carloine Collective. It looks like fun so maybe Mark and I can check it out.
And if we get to the theater early enough Thursday, we will see a free screening of 500 days of summer. I left Friday open for us to do absolutely nothing but cuddle and possible visit that garden center I mentioned in a previous post, the one with great smoothies.
Please, do enjoy.
I'm coming to the Valley this Thursday. I'll be flying in that evening and flying back Sunday evening. It's been a while since I've flown. Should be nice.
I'd like to go to the beach one of those days.
I had put off buying Caprica for some time. I was still mourning the end of Battlestar Galactica, how could I start watching a spin off of it so soon? But yesterday I was feeling in a sci-fi and anime mood. I haven't seen anime in months and even though I've been watching Star Trek, Battlestar is so much more awesome (in my opinion). So yesterday I bought Caprica and the first DVD of Code Geass. I saw Code Geass last night with my brother and it was really cool. It's about Britian taking over different countries in the world. They take over Japan and call it "Area 11". They leave all the natives in the ghetto while the Brits get to live a lovely life in their country. A former Royal and half Japanese kid wants to take revenge. His background is still a mystery after these first 5 episodes. It's a mech and it's really good. I'll definitely get the next DVD. I saw Caprica this morning and it had me hooked! It's so much like BSG. Only BSG can make me cry so easily. They capture emotions perfectly. The story is great. It takes place 60 years before the fall of Caprica City (Where BSG starts). This teenage girl keeps going to the cyber world where she has programmed her avatar to know everything about herself, an exact copy of her "soul". The deal with the BSG world is they believe in many gods, similar to the greeks back in the day. But there are few who rebel in believe in a single god. This girl happens to follow this belief. Her friends decide to run away from home and go to a different planet. On the way, her friend bombs the vehicle and they die. Her father, was the one who created the cyber world and is currently working on creating the first cylon. He finds out there is a copy of her and several hours later of debate on what makes us truly human happens, he tranfers her soul to a cylon. And then the movie ends! There will be a series continuing this in 2010. Damn, I have to wait a year. I love the fact that they show a young (~8 year old) Bill Adama.
